In this example, we’ll create a segment (aka a subset of survey participants) based on their participation in a project. You can use this to report on the number of participants who signed up in a specific time period, e.g. on day one of the project or over the entire length of the project.

Navigate to your organization’s CRM page and click New Segment.

In the next dialog, click Project Participants.

From the dropdown list in the next dialog, select a Project or Topic. You can also specify a specific time period during which participants signed up, e.g. over the entire duration of the project, over the last 30 days or in a custom date range.

Click Continue, name your segment, and then click Create Segment.

You can view your new segment, including the number of people added to it. At any time, you can modify it to adjust the variables by adding new exclusion or inclusion rules.

You can experiment with different permutations. This feature will give you insight into the interest shown in your survey.
