If you'd like to filter your whole report by a date range or segment, use the report filter in the top right admin menu. Read more on filtering entire report.

From the project page or reporting page, select a dynamic report.

Find the insight you'd like to filter and mouse over the chart or object:

Click the Filter by Segment option and then All participants. A new interface will appear where you can select segments and specific date ranges:

Select the segment to filter by, and update the display name that will appear publicly with the filter:

Hit Apply to apply the filter rules to the insight. It will refresh and display the filtered results and filter name. The filter will be displayed in the upper-right corner. The public view will be similar, but without the admin options.

You may edit this filter on the report by clicking the pencil icon to the right (1), and remove it by clicking the icon at the far right (2).

Not seeing what you expected? It's recommended to refresh a segment when reporting or analyzing segment data. Segments do not automatically refresh. To refresh your segment, open the segment rule and click "Refresh Now", found next to potential segment members.

Now you've filtered your dynamic report block. Read how to filter your entire report here.
