How to download map pin data from an Interactive Map question

Download the .kml file of participant responses

If you've created an Interactive Map Response question, you may be wondering how to retrieve that map pin data once responses are received. In addition to it being available on dynamic reports and comment reporting, you can also download a .KML file of the data points that were submitted by participants. It's best to wait until your survey has been closed to responses so that you have the complete .KML file is a complete record of all responses.



To retrieve this .KML response file, head to the admin side of your project, and locate your Interactive Map question.

Click the EDIT gear icon. This will open the question editor window. You'll click the Download Responses KML button:

This will open up your system dialog and allow you to rename the file (something other than the default file export name,) choose the file's save location, and save it to your computer:
