If you're looking for a full guide to this process, please check out the full article on Zoom and Youtube here.

*Note - This assumes you have a meeting with your expected comment, registration, and public access settings already configured in PublicInput. We have found that our most successful clients copy past meetings to continue their preferred configuration.

  1. In the board, commission, or project admin page, copy your most recent meeting and update its name to remove the copy language.

  2. Open the copied meeting's settings and update its title, date, and time.

  3. Scroll to the Conferencing Service section and toggle the "Connect a meeting via the Zoom integration".

    1. If you already have an upcoming Zoom meeting that matches this meeting, select that meeting from the dropdown list. OR

    2. If no matching Zoom meeting exists yet, select "Create a new meeting automatically".

  4. Scroll to the Streaming Service section and select Create a YouTube Live Stream for me.

  5. When you're within 30 minutes of your meeting, start your Zoom meeting.

  6. As a logged-in admin, navigate your browser to the public meeting page.

  7. 5 minutes before the meeting start, click "Connect to Zoom" on the conferencing panel on the public meeting page.

  8. On the PublicInput public meeting page, click "Start Streaming". You should see the streaming live indicator in Zoom within 5-10 seconds.

  9. You're now live and video + closed captioning will start to appear on the meeting live site.
