What is Mayor Mode?

Mayor Mode is the executive engagement dashboard in PublicInput. It gives leadership - mayors, city managers, department heads - a single-page view of all community engagement across the organization.

What it shows

Mayor Mode displays top-line engagement stats at a glance:

  • Visitors - total unique visitors across all projects

  • Participants - people who actively engaged (responded, commented, etc.)

  • Subscribers - people who signed up for updates

  • Social Views - views from social media channels

  • Responses - total survey/question responses

  • Comments - public comments submitted

  • Active Projects - number of currently active engagement projects

It also includes:

  • Top Questions with Charts - the most-responded-to questions with visual breakdowns

  • Top Comments - the most active comment threads

  • Engagement Map - geographic view of where participants are located

  • Engagement Over Time - trend line showing engagement activity over your selected period

How to use it

Mayor Mode supports filtering by:

  • Date range - narrow results to a specific time period

  • Department - filter to see engagement for a specific department only

Social views track engagement that originated from social media channels (Facebook, Twitter/X, etc.) linked to your projects.
